Cockroaches
- Cockroaches
often find their way into your home by hiding in plain
cardboard boxes (beer cases, food supply boxes or moving
boxes) as well as inside electrical appliances that were
once located in infested environments. Cockroaches travel
through your pipes.
Ants
- The
infiltration of ants is usually the result of high
moisture conditions such as the melting of snow in spring
or heavy rains. The ants, seeking dry space, enter your
home or office through the cracks in the building. Sweets
such as juice, colas and cookies attract
ants.
Carpenter
Ants
- The
presence of carpenter ants inside a home is usually
caused by the proximity of a nest. You should look around
your premises and under firewood piles as well as near by
woods and railroads for any carpenter ant activity. It
could be that major works and repairs have caused the
nest or colony to move nearer to your home.
Mice
- With
the arrival of winter, these small rodents look for
warmth inside your home. They are able to crawl through
openings as narrow as 2 cm in diameter. You should be
wary of garage floor corners and the bottom of aluminium
siding walls. Once inside your home, they will tend to
nest in the higher regions of the house such as the
attic.
